Miles for Meals
Sailors' Point, Peace Valley Park @10AM this Saturday 2/18 for 10k and the post-run feed bag.  Come earlier if you need more miles.  These are always a good time.  suggestions for new venues are always welcome.  I'll be on my two-wheeled conveyance if anyone wants to try that option.

Join our friends at the Ambler Area Running Club for their Frostbite 5 Miler .  It's one of the premier local events, attracting nearly 800 runners in 2011.  The course is moderate tough and the Amblerites have it down to a science.  Go to www.aarclub.org for all the race info.

Looking Ahead -2
Circle, block out or use some other metaphor to make sure you spend June 24 in Nolde Forest or the Deena Andrus Memorial Run for the Ages Age Graded 10K.  The race remembers Deena Andrus, a great friend to all who knew her, who was lost to us too young last November.  Deena and husband Ted had organized two runnings of this race in September but the timing is moved up to June for 2012.  Now Ted is continuing the tradition at what was one of Deena's favorite places to run.  Get more details at www.pagodapacers.com or  www.pretzelcitysports.com.   I’ve hardly run for the last year but will be busting my butt to run.   Fortunately, as an old fart, I’ll`have enough of a head start that I’m unlikely to be last.

Club Races    
We haven't had a serious snow yet this winter.  Hopefully we'll get a good dumping before the Ugly Mudder on the 26th,.  Having run it the two years that the snow and ice covered the course, i can say they were memorable, albeit painfully memorable, runs.  This year's edition features a new course with some never-before-seen-on -a-Pretzel-City-Sports-race .trails.  Unlike the Mt. Penn Mudfest, race day registration is available and I'll be working the course as a grunt to cheer you on.  Maybe even at the alternative beverage stop to help you rehydrate.
