Ugly Ugly Ugly Mudder
2007 - Ice covered hills only navigable in a seated position with face-plants into trees the sole available method of stopping.
2010 - Knee-deep snow with a 12" wide single track beaten down by the leaders.
What will 2011 bring? The current alternating warm and cold looks like ice. A few more snowstorms and we're in for a repeat of last year. Or it could be warm for the next three weeks and we trade knee deep snow for knee deep mud. Who would want to miss any of these? Carpool. Quakertown T-Pike Park & Ride, leaving at 9:15. Be there with spare clothes and clean shoes.
Being Adaptable
Nice job by Superbowl 10K co-directors Chris Garges and Carly Patterson in being able to adapt the Superbowl 10K course due to icy conditions. It was also nice to have the runners adapt with no griping I heard. There was plenty of traffic at the water stop with runners going in both directions.
