Spring Into Spring
The crocuses are opening and that's a sure sign that spring is approaching. One of the other signs is the approaching Bucks 5K Series. Now in its 17th year, the series is made up of seven local 5K races in Central Bucks combined into a series to allow point scoring for overall championships. The series starts in late March with the Doylestown 5K and runs through June's Chalfont Challenge. The races attract some 600+ races each. Thanks to everyone who came out to run or volunteer at the Rotary Run for Youth last Saturday. It's great to see so many familiar faces. Besides the great performances, you helped support the youth activities of Quakertown Rotary. I don't get the chance to see many of you since I'm not racing at this time. And the best part is to not have to run all those stinking hills.

Thought you were running Marine Corps this fall? Well, the race sold out today in 2:41. Pretty soon, races will sell out in less than the winning time. Two who managed to get it were brother and sister Jerry Horan and Cindy Field.
