Carnivores for a Cure
It's hard to miss the HCM Foundation's team logo on the jerseys of any number of area runners, most notably our own Bob Bodkin.  The foundation is the creation of Mike Marsteller to bring financial and emotional assistance to families struggling with the impact of cancer.  You've also seen mike at many races, although probably from behind as he's usually a top 10 finisher.  In any event, the HCM Foundation is sponsoring a Memorial Day meat raffle through the www.hcmfoundation.org website.  This should be a real treat for runners given the popularity of the paleo diet in the running community.  While you're at it, learn more about Mike's inspiration from losing his own father at an early age and how he's translated that experience into an incredible effort to support others experiencing  challenges similar to what his family experienced.

Shoe Donation
Remember to bring your gently used running shoes to the Rotary Run for Youth on Saturday.  Heidi Pernia will have a box where she is collecting them for the nascent Girls on The Run program starting in the Quakertown School District.

New Races
We have a bunch of new races which are organized by fellow club members appearing on the calendar.  Our friends ad colleagues put a lot of work into these races ad they and the causes they often support appreciate any help we can give by either participating or volunteering.   I'd be happy to get you i touch with the race directors for more information about their races.

Club Races    
Enjoy some wet hills at the Rotary Run for Youth on Saturday.  We're  offering meatball sandwiches and other tasty delights for those willing to brave the elements, both meteorological and geological.
