Welcome to Marc Dakuginow. Marc tells us, "To stay in shape I run, bike, swim, and do resistance training. One day I may get around to signing up for a triathlon. For fun I like to play basketball at the Y. The Perk Up Half in August is the only race I am committed to. If all goes to plan, it will be my first race ever. ." Quite impressive to start with a half-marathon!
A Small Hiatus
I'll be traveling to a couple of conferences over the next two weeks. Given that I have to pay attention to the day job, any posts during the next two weeks will be irregular and short. Hope to keep up on race results at least.
10K Views
This blog has passed a semi-milestone and has hit 10,000 page views, about 500/month. Just over 30% of the views are coming from outside the US and Canada. Of these. the largest share comes from
Poland at 8%. Either there is a strong cosmopolitan running community in my ancestral home or this site comes up when you google Tuszynski. Actually, we'd love to hear from some of our overseas visitors to find out about running in other countries. Just leave a comment to share next week.
Next Group Run
We'll do our next group run on Saturday May 19 at an Upper Bucks location. Waiting to hear about the availability of our preferred location to set the location. Most importantly, we'll have a good location for the post-run refuel.

Club Races
Two very nice 5Ks this weekend. Each is challenging in its own way and well organized with good food and a fun atmosphere. You won't go wrong no matter which one you choose. Then comes one of the special events - Hilary Goodman's Black Sheep 5K where you must have a dog, baby jogger or headphones to be allowed to run.

Marathons, half marathons, 10Ks and 5Ks abound. Congratulations to all St. Luke's HM runners. A special shout out the young Garges kids and Brady Gallagher for their exploits. It's nice to see the next generation of runners come along (or two generations down the road in my case). We also had a slew of Tough Mudders this weekend. this event does not publish results so I only know about those who posted their bruises on Facebook.
