The Hit the Hay 8.4M or so trail race, moved from 8/27 to 9/18., has been postponed again because of an issue with the park. The new date will be posted when available. The Harrisburg Half will be held on October 9 because of flooding from Lee. Guess the Susquehanna is a little bit too wide for a stream crossing.
Calendar Update
This week's primary exercise was to update the race calendar. As a result, the informational items will be even less compelling (sic) than usual. Hope everyone finds a favorite race to do. It's incredible how many races we have to choose from, often to the disappointment of race organizers who don't understand why the attendance isn't there. It's also why we do our Quakertown Rotary races in late November and early March when the calendar is more forgiving. A running friend of mine moved from Pottstown to Toledo OH and was stunned to only be able to find a race every three weeks or so.

A Random Thought
I saw something that Americans spent 53 billion minutes on Facebook last month. It seems like a staggering number until you do some figuring. At 100 million users and 30 days in a month, it works out to about 18 minutes per day. I keep the number down but at least on average, most people have lives outside of Facebook. Hopefully, we all reserve time when we're not online to exercise. A Facebook exercise game does not count.
